| The // O U T S I D E Name: Ichigenka Date of Birth: 11/2/1513 Age: 500 years Gender: Male Rank: Captain of Squad Two; the Secret Mobile Force and Onmitsukido Face Claim: King Albert - Legend of Dragoon Appearance: - Spoiler:
Ichigenka is a man of slender build and high physical stature -- long light brown hair is pulled back in a neat and kept ponytail by a thin white ribbon. His milky skin is pale in and clear in complexion and soft to the physical touch, though there is indeed no mistaking the hardened bones beneath the skin; battle worn proof of battle and experience. His large golden eyes fill his face with unrivaled determination, wisdom, intelligence and experience beyond his years. Perhaps this is a deciding factor in why he has so little friends -- he gives off a vibe just by his appearance and his demeanor that typically wards ones away; his face is rarely ever without a glint of seriousness about him. The muscles of his body are well toned, though certainly not overbearingly so -- pecks defined, though not over defined. Calves, biceps and triceps -- proof of extensive training, though nothing to push him far beyond his current limits, since his specialty remains in command and not action, though if it came down to it, he certainly knows how to take action. His attire consists of the standard Shinigami uniform, accented with the famed Haori.
The // I N S I D E Positive Traits- Spoiler:
✓ Confident - His age. His abilities. His muscle. His position. What does he have that wouldn't make him confident? Being the Captain of the Squad which trains and directs ruthless ninjas has its benefits, and benefit number one is confidence. ✓ Generous - As a business owner, Ichigenka is quite wealthy; wealthy beyond many other Shinigami and citizens of Soul Society. With his cash, he is quite generous. He's known to donate large sums to treasuries of the other Divisions as a simple act of kindness, allowing them to construct their Division Barracks as they see fit. ✓ Loyal - He's a Shinigami. He's a Captain. He swore an oath to protect Soul Society and by extension his subordinates and all who inhabit the Society of Souls. That is his duty, and he is loyal to that cause. ✓ Determined - Once he gets his mind set, "to it," it's exceedingly difficult to remove Ichigenka from a track he set for himself. He has nerves of steel. ✓ Just - He'll follow the law to the, "t," though he isn't against bending the rules a tad for the betterment of a life. Just, as it happens, is a trait that doesn't imply blind faith in a system, at least not in Ichigenka's eyes. Human error exists and sometimes it can only be corrected by going against the grain. To do what he can for the betterment of those around him. Negative Traits- Spoiler:
X Arrogant - Captain of the Second Division? Have fun catching up to me. You'll never see me coming. I'll obliterate you before you take your next breath. X Judgmental - Your past, to Ichigenka, is very well here in the present. Mistakes that go unexplained are unacceptable and he'll look down on you for your foolishness, be it now or in the past. It's quite difficult to change his opinion on someone once it's been decided. X Condescending - To get under somebody's skin through sheer words. While he doesn't actively attempt to be condescending, it's a fact that he is. It'd be a lie if you'd say that his thoughts didn't emulate his words, though to him, it isn't condescending. He's blunt and he'll tell the truth, though he's often mild about it, which turns into a form of condescending. X Unenthusiastic - A steel face. Cold eyes. An unmoving mouth. Nothing is too exciting. Not that it's dull or anything, but there just aren't that many, "Yippie!," moments in Ichigenka's life. Everything is a chore. A chore he'll do to perfection if he can. Nothing less, nothing more. X Introverted - Not to say he dislikes social interaction, because he does. Not to say that he doesn't know when it is appropriate to laugh and smile, because he does. Not to say he doesn't know when to open himself up, because he does. He's an introvert. There's a time and a place for everything, and sadly, Ichigenka isn't as comfortable as everyone else, so the times where he can let loose are isolated due to a fear of exposing himself to those around him. He's protected by meat for a reason - to keep those who don't belong within him from being within him. Likes- Spoiler:
✓ Order ✓ Peace ✓ Balance ✓ Reading ✓ Writing ✓ Teaching ✓ Micromanaging ✓ Studying ✓ Pens ✓ Warm, spicy food Dislikes- Spoiler:
X Obnoxious people X Insubordinate subordinates X Showing signs of weakness X Unclean fingernails X High-pitched noises X Complaining X Unkempt facial hair X Red hair X Warm environments X Redundancy
The // S O U L Zanpakuto Name: Kogaisendo // Epitome of Death Sealed Sword: - Spoiler:
Kogaisendo takes the form of the average Japanese katana, nothing more and nothing less. His eleven inch hilt is made of an elegant spiritual wood similar in feel and anatomy to ebony, with black diamond wrappings crafted of the finest silk. His tsuba takes the form of an ornate, thin rhombus so as to look like a thinned out diamond shard which compliments the sharp edge of the blade, if only cosmetically. The slightly curved, twenty-nine inch blade of the katana is encased in an amethyst scabbard crafted of a spiritual wood similar to that of Japanese bamboo. This magnificent, trusted blade is usually kept on his left hip, allowing quick and easy access by his right, sword bearing arm. Shikai Release Phrase: Yosu // Abolish Shikai Description: - Spoiler:
Shikai Appearance : Upon the spoken command to release Ichigenka's Shikai, his katana will emit an impenetrable black fog about his sword-bearing arm which will continue to encase the whole of the katana itself. The hilt, which shall now be referred to as either the grip or the handle, elongates into a 55" long pole which can he grabbed at any area within those fifty five inches. The blade of the katana-now-naginata reduces in size nine full inches, though the curve of the blade is far more pronounced than before. The tsuba of the katana-now-naginata remains the same: a diamond shard-appearing sliver of metal. After this transformation, which truthfully happens rather quickly, as most others (see: neigh instantaneously) the entirety of the weapon - which, by the way, is seventy five inches in total - is outlined with a disembodied, blackish amethyst aura.
Kogaisendo is a truly frightening Zanpakuto in the regards that is manifests as the pure and utter darkness of myth. It can construct a multitude of effects through the use of dark auras or the darkness (see: shadows) themselves. Typically, all techniques that are crafted through use of Kogaisendo are indicated by a change in the aura surrounding the Naginata, though exceptions do indeed exist where such would not occur. The true description of Kogaisendo's ability would be that it simply works the typical fears of an opponent, manifesting itself in a multitude of frightening effects that are centered around the controlling of the darkness about an area. This ability, allow me to make completely clear, uses darkness in an extremely general sense. Through use of Aura's, different techniques can be employed be they having to do with the literal shadow darkness, something involving middle aged fears or black magics. Perhaps even the shadows themselves can be employed through use of this ability -- though the term darkness is used here in an extremely general sense, though is capable of being taken to the literal sense through creation of techniques. Bankai Name: Kogaieiki // Epitome of Zeal Bankai Description: - Spoiler:
Kogaieiki is typically initiated from Kogaisendo in a very dramatic way; that is, after all, the visual beauty of Bankai, no? A twirl of his Naginata, setting it horizontally is the ritual. He releases his hands from the weapon, allowing it to float midair as it loses its colorful aura(s). The simple words, “Bankai”, are to be spoken to officially begin the changing of the physical manifestation: Ichigenka will take both hands and stretch them as far apart as he can, touching his palms to each end of the Naginata, the tip and the butt. Proceeding to bring his hands together, the Naginata is consumed by his palm and all that remains is a thick, glob-like energy that adheres to Ichigenka's body. The swirling black, glossy substance begins to form the Bankai form.
The substance meanders and coils about Ichigenka's body, forming a Sengoku Era armor about his body with a long, thick black hooded cloak to cover the back of the armor and veil his face. Remove the thick hooded cloak and a change in hair color would be strikingly evident: from light brown to pitch black does this change evoke. What remains of the substance surges to his sword arm where it forms a Japanese style longsword veiled in a silvery-metallic, purple-tinted aura. The final stamp of Bankai reveals itself as a white stamp against the shiny black metal of his armor: his lineage, his ancestry, is traced back to the Oda Clan of the Warring States. While he was not born in that era, his soul resides as a member of the clan, made apparent by the clan insignia upon his breast.
The main ability of Kogaisendo is not too dissimilar to Canon Captain Byakuya Kuchiki's Senkei ability which enclosesthe battlefield in a mass of cherry blossom blades where the main focus of Senkei was to abandon all defense in an effort to increase offensive capabilities drastically. Makura is the effect of merely releasing Bankai, it is not a technique. Upon completion of the Bankai transfer, this can be done immediately or after awhile, whichever Ichigenka desires, he can cloak the battlefield in a dome of black metallic energy. No light is capable of penetrating this barrier of intense darkness, aside of course from the light created from any sort of technique such as Kido or the like, so combat becomes a little harder. With this dome of darkness, various techniques may arise from the manipulation of the dome for a wide array of effects that range from having the ability to increase attributes such as strength and defense or allow the shadows to come together to heal users of darkness.
The // P A S T History: - Spoiler:
Destined from the very moment of conception to be one of the unlucky souls which lose them self so very, very early. Born in the Renaissance of 1513 in the small island-country of Japan, which had been warring for many years. Unfortunately, this young child by the name of Ichigenka Shuken would not live to see the day of Japan's unification, for three and a half weeks after his very first birthday, he passed away. Nobody knew why the poor soul passed, though in modern times, they would have stamped his cause of death as SIDS, or more commonly known as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome - a syndrome where a cause of death simply cannot possible be determined. Spontaneous death, it seems. How unfortunate for the young child, how truly unfortunate. Of course the infant that was Ichigenka did not know it, though he had been saved by a great and benevolent goodness. He had been rescued by a Shinigami.
Of course the infant that was Ichigenka did not know that he had died, nor that he had been saved. He merely came to self awareness at the age of fifty. Surely this is irregular, you say? Nonsense -- for one who died so very young, the shift from physical kishi to spiritual reishi is a drastic shift indeed. The body must catch up with the aging process, which with such a young age, is highly, extremely decelerated. Therefore a young spiritual couple took the child in and raised it as their own until it was old enough to walk, talk and do things on its own. They knew this child did not belong to them and they knew that if they kept the poor thing, they'd only cause it harm when it grew old enough to truly ask questions. The couple which watched over the child simply abandoned him, though he knew not the difference. He was a spirit now, requiring not food, not water and not attention. So long as he wasn't killed by some derranged gang member, he was more than fine doing as he was doing now.
He grew up not knowing what a family was; he didn't know what brothers or sisters were and he didn't know what or who parents were. He knew only himself for a great deal of his time, and he was perfectly fine with this reality. There was nothing that could possibly convince him that there was something greater than the life he was living now -- true bliss. Once he was old enough to communicate on an intellectual level, he would often venture out into the Rukongai, making acquaintances with the older souls. He would do odd jobs for them in exchange for fascinating tales about the Shinigami as well as lessons on how to read and write. Truly there is nothing extra special in these times that Ichigenka experienced aside from the origin of his ability to read and write, which would grow to be a fiery passion of his. Something he would never trade in all his life for any single thing in existence. He took this knowledge -- this ability to read and bettered himself. His odd jobs continued, earning the currency of the Soul Society for his daily workings. He amassed a measly fortune, though a fortune in its own right and began to purchase books on any conceivable subject, completely and utterly devouring the information within those leather bound books.
Before long, the young male had knowledge extending from how to cook a candied ham to how to craft a shoe from a dead moose. He had built himself a little shack on the outskirts of the 65th West Rukon District which held his vast collection of books -- his treasury, so to speak. Honest to goodness, this young boy had never faced conflict in his life, for he knew not that he was living as a soul. He knew not that he died when he was but a baby and had been carried to Soul Society in the arms of a benevolent Shinigami. Nothing happened to him since and nothing will happen for many a day to come, let me assure you such. This heart warming tale merely continues with the boy continuing his daily activities or work, reading and writing. He learned of the fabled Shinigami in greater detail through several published works by Shinigami, old Captains and Academy Instructors. Perhaps one day, hopefully, Ichigenka will attempt to take the entrance exam for the Shino Academy? Perhaps he himself could be one of those very, almighty and powerful Gods of Death! The mere thought excited him to no bound, though he kept his goals to a realistic level and simply continued with his unhindered peace of mind. He continued with his life of simplicity and happiness.
Now, I won't lie here. Nothing in particular possessed Ichigenka to venture to the Shino Academy one sunny afternoon -- nothing in particular aside from curiosity. He had decided to skip out on work, for surely his client wouldn't mind an hour delay? He detoured from his usual route and ventured to the endlessly fascinating and marvelously grand Shino Academy, very near the Seireitei itself. He entered those great lumbering doors and picked up every brochure and book he could get his hands on, digesting the information. Digesting the marvelous wonder of what it meant to be a Shinigami. A client asked if he was here to sign up for the Entrance Exam, which would be beginning any moment now. Truly, utterly and truly on a whim, he nodded. He rapidly went through the in-extensive paperwork and hurried off to where he was directed where he was presented a large wooden desk with a thick stack of test papers in front of him. He was given a quill and told to read and answer the questions; he was given a hint to read the questions very carefully, too, for they can often slip your hand up and write you the wrong answer, so to speak. Tricky wording, yes.
Though to one who has such extensive knowledge, this test was no harder to him than it would have been to a graduate of the academy. There was truly no information that one would have to have truly studied anything specific for. Simply general knowledge regarding Shinigami and their mission as well as abilities. Of course there was a little history about the Rukongai and the Court of Pure Souls (Seireitei) though Ichigenka knew all of this anyway. Mind you, he is no Gary Stu, though he achieved a perfect score. Surely not everyone who achieves such a score must be the perfect gentleman, so to suggest such would make anyone sound plain stupid. The test results of the former sentence were sent in to Ichigenka a full week after the test date -- the boy was simply astonished. He didn't believe he had done anything super fantastic, though apparently the Shino Academy thought otherwise. They noted their surprise at the score, explaining how rare it is for one to score such. They hadn't had one is many, many years. He was to report to the Shino Academy in exactly one month where he would, barring his own choice, begin tutelage as a Shinigami Student, where he would train for the ability to graduate and be placed within a Division.
Now the history depicting the part where Ichigenka went about telling all his clients this exciting news is far from important or interesting. Therefore, we are skipping to the meat and potatoes! He arrived at the Academy on the designated date, prepared for whatever he had to face in the coming four to six years, depending on the courses he took. Through his General Teacher, he learned that there were four classes which a Shinigami was absolutely required to take and pass: Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hoho and Kido. Now this doesn't mean by the end of the class you must be able to demonstrate any of those arts to an acceptable degree, you just had to know about them and pass the exam, though practical situations and the usage of the four arts would be demonstrated and taught. It was up to the student to grasp or not grasp the physical arts of working towards mastering those specific arts. Now, he got those taken out of the way right quick, each class taking up half a year for an initial total of two full years within the Academy where he learned the very basics of Zanjutsu, Hakuda and the like. Most of the class was able to demonstrate promise in the art of wielding the four disciplines, Ichigenka included. In fact, Ichigenka passed the exams with the highest score, though those were merely the exams themselves -- he was not the best at utilizing the four arts, sadly. Though that'd have been great, wouldn't it?
Two of minimum of four, maximum of six years down, what else was there to do? There were a multitude of courses he could take which would aid him in his quest to join a Division towards the end of his time at the Academy. So far, he liked the very sound of the First Division, so he took what discipline and control over his emotions he had gained from his former four courses and applied them in an additional four: Command Class, Tactics Class, Logical Thinking Class and the All Things Spiritual Class, which were mere study classes where one would learn of those four arts. Learn what it meant to be a commander in the battlefield. Learn how to think logically instead of illogically and, "in the now". He learned how to apply his knowledge with his Sword and Hands in combat and learned the very essence of what the Spiritual World truly was. These exams were not difficult at all, Ichigenka achieving the highest score in his classes for both Command and Logical Thinking, though passing with high grades in the other two. So far he had built himself an extensive and experienced track record. Though this left only two more years for the young male shinigami hopeful. What else would he spend his time on?
He enrolled in his final four classes: Zanpakuto: Communication and Employability, which taught students effective methods for attempting to make contact with this Inner Spirit which no doubt existed as well as effective ways to coax them into giving their names. The second course he enrolled in was the Hollows: A History, which taught everything one could ever hope and dream to know about the Hollow Race, including the hybrids known as the Arrancar. The final two were classes about the Humans and their spiritual prowess, which included sections about the Quincy; the final course was something rather lax, I guess you could say. A success class which taught one how to be successful if they do not graduate the Academy after their final exam, which was filled mainly with those who were lacking confidence, though not Ichigenka! He'd apply this knowledge regardless of whether or not he was destined to pass of fail as a student of the Shino Academy. He'd entertained the thought of running a successful bookstore in Rukongai... Though each of those courses were passed effortlessly, though everyone in those classes passed effortlessly -- there was nothing difficult or hard about those four classes. They're but piffle classes!
More unnecessary fluff -- can't truly say Ichigenka was frightened at the thought of taking the Final Exam. He got in without a problem, passed each of his classes without a problem, took the full six year plan and did anything and everything he could possibly do to ensure he'd pass this exam. The day finally came when the exams were given out, which were tailored specifically for each student, reflecting their knowledge and what classes they took. Ichigenka's questions revolved around how to effectively handle situations involving others and how to specific tactics. He had to explain the importance and hindrance of humans and their ability to tap in to spiritual powers. Nothing hard and nothing extensive -- at least not for Ichigenka. That was it for the written portion of the Final Exam -- though he still had to pass the physical portion of his exam which was merely to demonstrate his ability to fight with his sword, hands and perform basic kido and make an attempt at a Hoho movement. Very well, exceptional, exceptional and successful were the results, respectively. I needn't bore you with some lengthy description of Ichigenka being worried about his whole, "passing the exam", because he wasn't. And he wasn't surprised to find out he had graduated, either. Happy day? Happy day.
Now, mind you... he didn't attempt to join a Division just yet -- he opened up a bookstore in the center of Seireitei, you know... where the noble houses reside. It became quite the hit, especially with the name, "Bunko", which translates to Book Collection. The store offered anything you could possibly think of in terms of book topics -- an extensive three story building, well furnished with exceptional lighting and a gracious courtyard. Though the upgrades surely took time, you must understand. The aforementioned description is merely what the place is detailed to be right now. Though during the rise of the book store, one night when Ichigenka had been reorganizing the library and restocking the shelves of purchasable books, he heard a distant voice. He called out, asking if anyone was there, warning that he is a trained and certified shinigami of extensive knowledge and it'd be very wise to come out now versus having him hunt them out. Though the intrusion continued and only through careful perception was Ichigenka able to gather that this voice was not physical, but mental. He knew what the voice was, though he didn't want to believe it. So, he meditated on it. Just meditated. He went through his daily routine as per normal, meditating nightly, asking for entrance to the world that was within himself.
Attempt after attempt need not be explained -- the end product is what is indeed important. One night, after just beginning to meditate, for, "just about to give up" it far too cliche, he made progress. The spirit communed with him once more, begging him to enter and come visit him atop a throne of marvelous stone. He bade him entrance and granted him permission, and so this happened. He centered to the world within his spirit and met with what he knew to be his Zanpakuto spirit -- the two conversed and it quickly turned out that they were not fond of one another. They were not two peas in a pod.
Duty is as duty does. Having the name of his Zanpakuto Spirit, it was time to do the unthinkable. He'd continue to manage his bookstore, though he'd request entrance into the only division that caught his fancy: Squad Three, the Division which specializes in Intelligence and Information. It would be his job, once accepted, to do mainly as he had been doing: to help manage the non-restricted information available to all Shinigami through use of the Third Division's extremely extensive and informative library. Being an easy job, on duty he would often hold conversation with his Zanpakuto Spirit, little by little and slowly developing a relationship with his partner.
Days became weeks and weeks became months and he, with hard word, loyalty and dedication, rose through the ranks of the Third Division. Soon, he'd not be helping keep track of Seireitei's Knowledge, but he'd be the one responsible for making sure the knowledge was being kept track of. Third Seat Shuken, highly respected within his Division for his dedication to his job and his knowledge on various subjects. Members from various different Squads would often come to him for his advice or thoughts on often private matters, though from time to time he'd be asked for help on their paperwork. Oftentimes the paperwork the Captains dumped on their subordinates was far too confusing and difficult for said subordinates, so an extra hand would be required. His reputation grew.
Before too long, he'd switch to the Second Division, as his personality was becoming darker and his eyes colder. He would begin to prefer to enforce the law through special ops.
He was asked by the Shino Academy, often times referred to as the Reijutsu Academy, to, in his spare time, help teach some of the students. He accepted this opportunity and continues today, desiring to help raise the next generation of Gotei Soldiers. His classes, in which there are two in the Reijutsu Academy are Advanced Spiritual Races which covers advanced knowledge on all races: Humans, Fullbringers, Quincy, Plus Souls, Hollows, Arrancar, and of course, Shinigami and their Hollow counterparts, the Vaizards. The second class he teaches is, naturally, a Kido Course where he teaches low level spells to the Academy Students, though is more than willing to satiate their appetite if they can handle more complicated Kido.
Training was sparse, though during his time in the Second Division, he sparred often with members of other Squads, making positive that his skills were not dull in comparison. While he specialized in an extremely specific area, as a member of the Gotei Military Force, he'd be required to be before all else a soldier, ready to die for the Soul Society. The regular use of his Shikai aided in the developing relationship between himself and his Zanpakuto Spirit. By far not the best combatant, he was fairly matched against many of his opponents and only improved as he himself sought to continue improving, which in time meant the acquisition of Lieutenant of the Second Division under an extremely old Captain who would be replaced by another, less capable Captain, who in turn removed Ichigenka from Lieutenant as is the express right of the Captain, to be replaced by a friend of his. It wouldn't take long for one of the senior members of the Division -- one that wasn't Ichigenka -- to challenge this ambitionless Captain and take the reins.
Ichigenka was eventually able to obtain his Bankai, Kogaieiki, which allowed him to challenge the current leader of the Second Squad to a duel, in which Ichigenka ended up the victor. Time tells no lies, and since, he has continued with his duties proficiently. RolePlaying Sample: - Spoiler:
Jasper Aizawa's expression remained quite stoic throughout Ichigenka's offer, stoic enough, it seemed, that even without words he was able to give Ichigenka an answer. Though to make things more clear came a verbal response, one Ichigenka hold in high favor. Filthy trash talk, pre-combat slander was all that Ichigenka got. The Leader of the Resistance promised to strike Ichigenka down with everything that made him exactly what he is as of now. Ichigenka was accused of not serving his own people and that he had to wonder whether Ichigenka pleased his King on a daily basis, though the meaning behind these potentially phallic words meant very little to Ichigenka. He sighed as he shook his head, closing his eyes for a mere moment, reopening them with something quite different than the average pair of eyes. Whereas the Lieutenant's eyes were, on a daily and ordinary basis, a brilliant gold, now they rode under a different color's banner. Deep amethyst they were, with two intricate waves of midnight design centering around the pulpit. Sight beyond sight was granted to the wielder of the Eyes of the Heavens, and all capabilities given to him were from here on out increased in ways unexplainable. A power beyond the Gods themselves. Beyond Jasper. Perhaps even beyond His Majesty Gilgamesh, though Ichigenka would never say such to anyone out loud. It would be unlikely that Jasper could see such a change in Ichigenka's eyes from so far away.
As Jasper denied being a traitor, Ichigenka viewed him in a new light. He observed how the energy within his body flowed -- it would spike on certain words. With his skill in Spiritual Detection, he was able to detect a few things just from the feel and sight of his Reiryoku: he meant each and everything he said. The hate for Gilgamesh and the hate for Ichigenka was something beyond true for this man. He truly sought to bring down Gilgamesh and all of his supporters, be they Captains, Lieutenants of powerhouses such as Ryder Hughes, a Quincy cohort of the Golden Court. His power only shone through his Reiryoku -- Ichigenka could tell from the depth of his energy, he would have a impossibly difficult time destroying someone such as Gilgamesh before they could do the very same to him. With such completed, the words of Jasper were heard. He thought Ichigenka and the Golden Rule to be suppressing and, apparently, forcing their rule over them. Ichigenka's request was thrown back into his face; as the Leader of the Resistance, Jasper offered for Ichigenka to lay down his weapons and have his throat slit upon the ground of the White Sand Desert and fade into history, remembered by none. Him and everything and, "everyone he cared about". Surely, that did strike a chord. Widened eyes, unsure of how to respond... that's the only response he'd give before bottling his emotions up as quickly as they were released. Likely too quick to even be noticed. Certainly not even worth noticing, for such was not a weakness for the likes of Lieutenant Shuken.
Then Ichigenka saw it. A large spike in Jasper's Reiatsu and a hint obvious by all standards (though only to Ichigenka). Jasper moved like a snail for what seemed an eternity. Ichigenka saw the Resistance Leader move long before he truly began to move, or so it seemed, for these eyes granted such an empowering ability. Jasper raced towards Ichigenka with a Shunpo, and, ordinarily, Ichigenka wouldn't have been able to leave the spot at the exact moment Jasper left to come to Ichigenka, though his eyes allowed such an advantageous opportunity. The two disappeared at the same exact moment, and, funnily enough, Ichigenka decided to take Jasper's former position as Ichigenka took his, completely dodging a sword strike by Jasper. Quick with his mind, though, Jasper was capable or seeing past Ichigenka's trickery quick enough to readjust his next attack, which Ichigenka knew of beforehand as well due to the buildup or Spirit Energy in Jasper's body while he remained still. Ichigenka began running atop the air, keeping his eye on his opponent. and as the technique fired off, Ichigenka disappeared immediately, narrowly dodging the technique. Ordinarily, he would not possess the perception nor the speed to dodge this attack, though thanks to his eyes and his ability to perceive things as they are happening to such a degree, he may as well be seeing the future, he found it incredibly easy to luck out so long as he was paying full attention to what was going on. Safe, however narrowly, he found himself in the sand, one knee bent and sword drawn. One hand gripped his sword tightly while the other hand the sand firmly in his hand.
He rose quickly, keeping his eyes set firmly on his opponent as he allowed the next effect of his eyes take place: telescopic vision. Information poured into his head from literally all angles. He saw the dirt as his feet, and he saw the battle raging all around him. Yet he found it easy to stay focused. Never would a Shinigami be granted an ability they are not capable of handling physically nor spiritually -- with extensive training, as well, such an ability was not disorienting. In fact, it was quite the excitement.
Hmph he scoffed, twirling his blade with his right arm ever so gently and skillfully. Yosu, Kogaisendo Abolish, Epitome of Death (//Abolish, Literal Death\\) His reiatsu manifested as a mass of amethyst colored goop, thicker than the most expensive of maple syrups. It was concentrated around his sword, though it manifested around his entire body and rose as though evaporating before dispersing into a softly purple gas, then existing no more. The hilt to his Zanpakutou disappeared and was replaced by the extensive hilt of a naginata. The blade of the weapon itself curves slightly as it found itself further and further from Ichigenka, until the entire weapon was a massive six and a quarter feet long, the hilt (pole) of the weapon a whopping fifty-five inches, while the curved blade was reduced nine inches, totaling twenty inches in length. Covering the blade itself is a blackish amethyst, disembodied aura. Allow me to introduce you to Kogaisendo -- marvel at his power, "Hatsugen" "Evil Manifestation" -- Ichigenka said calmly, as he took a few notes in his head.
You will regret your decision to deny my offer, Commander Aizawa. You have chosen the fate that befell Ikazuchi Seibutsu of the Fifth Division. I accept and respect your decision
